2007 marks the 4th year for the TEC Awards Music & Sound Auction. Each year manufacturers, studios, software manufacturers and musicians join one another in donating products or services to the auction in order to raise money to fund heading awareness and audio education.

The Mix Foundation holds the online auction on eBay in conjunction with the Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC)Awards. Proceeds from the auction benefit foundation partner House Ear Institute in support of hearing awareness programs. Their programs include the Sound Partners Hearing Conservation Program and the House Ear Institute’s Teen Outreach Campaign “It’s How You Listen That Counts".

The auction features new items donated by professional audio manufacturers, software developers, musican instrument manufacturers. Each year the auction has grown in scope and in success, as has our efforts toward increasing hearing education.

We are actively seeking donations for this year’s auction. The auction is scheduled to kick off on the TEC Music and Sound Auction eBay store on October 4th. We anticipate it will run for 14 days until the 28th.

In past years we have received donations from:

Audio-Technica, Mackie, JBL, Shure, EAW, Martin Audio, AKG, Crown, Minnetonka, Digidesign, Focusrite, Heil, Gibson Guitars, Lavry, Presonus, Sennheiser, Neumann, TE Electronis, and Tannoy to name a few.
